FAQ
Mixing takes all individual elements — vocals, drums, guitars, synths, samples — and works on their relative levels, panning, EQ, dynamics and effects so everything sits in one cohesive stereo file. Mastering takes that stereo file and applies subtle EQ, compression, limiting and metering to optimise loudness, tonal balance and consistency across release formats. In short: mixing shapes the song; mastering polishes the finished mix for distribution.
From receipt of files, tracks are normally turned around within 2–3 days, or whole albums within a week. Most mixes take 1.5–3 hours per track. Mastering includes two rounds of revisions; full mixes include three.
Upload a .zip of your stems folder via WeTransfer, Google Drive, or similar. Payment by bank transfer or PayPal — invoice supplied on completion. Full payment required before finished files are delivered.
Mastering doesn't need hours. I work quickly because the room and signal chain are dialled in and I've been doing this since 1999, so I can keep rates competitive without cutting corners. Every master gets my full attention and two rounds of revisions.
